FDMHA Donates Books to KIPP DC: KEY Academy


On Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Frederick Douglass Memorial and Historical Association (FDMHA) donated 31 personalized, Bicentennial Editions of the “Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave”, to students of KIPP DC: KEY Academy School in Washington, DC.

The books were presented to the Wildcats Homeroom (Class of 2021) by Moonyene Jackson, President of FDMHA. Assisting her was Mrs. Theona Hall.

Following the presentation, the Wildcats Homeroom performed “Amazing Grace” and “Rock-A-My-Soul” and presented school Tee shirts as token of their appreciation.
