2016 Annual Community Meeting Hosted by FDMHA


The Frederick Douglass Memorial and Historical Association (FDMHA) held its Annual Community Meeting on September 17, 2016 at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in Washington, DC. The event was dedicated to the memory of Anna Murray Douglass – the first wife of Frederick Douglass.

Those who attended the event included FDMHA Trustees and supporters, students and scholars, members of the Anacostia and and others.

The event highlights included:

  • A presentation by Frederick Douglass Scholar, Reverend Dr. Reginald F. Davis, Pastor of the historic First Baptist Church of Willamsburg, Virginia.
  • Speeches and updates by FDMHA Trustees, Park Service personnel and others
  • Questions and answers
  • Refreshments and entertainment, including a poem/song rendition.
